Emergency Road Flares and Roadside Safety Devices
When a vehicle breaks down or an accident occurs on a logging road, highway, or remote worksite, emergency road flares and warning devices are the critical first line of protection for workers and drivers. CSP Forestry carries emergency road flares — both traditional fusee flares and modern LED flare alternatives — along with reflective triangles and warning devices for roadside safety situations. Our products meet DOT requirements and are standard equipment for logging trucks, service vehicles, and field crews operating on public roads.
Complement your vehicle emergency kit with high-visibility safety vests, first aid supplies, and truck safety equipment. For work zone traffic control, see our road and traffic signs, barricade tape, and sign stands. CSP Forestry equips logging trucks, oilfield service vehicles, and construction fleets with the roadside safety essentials required by DOT and OSHA regulations.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between fusee flares and LED flares?
Fusee (pyrotechnic) road flares burn for 15–30 minutes with bright flame, highly visible even in daylight. LED flares are reusable, weather-resistant, and safer — no open flame. Many fleets carry both for different situations.
Are road flares required equipment for logging trucks?
FMCSA regulations require trucks over 10,000 lbs GVWR to carry warning devices (flares, reflective triangles, or equivalent) for roadside breakdowns. Most logging operations also include road flares in their truck safety kits as standard practice.
Do you carry reflective triangles as well?
Yes. Our roadside safety devices include DOT-approved reflective warning triangles that can be used as a reusable alternative or supplement to pyrotechnic road flares.
What other truck safety equipment do you carry?
We carry truck safety supplies, safety vests, first aid kits, chains and binders, and tie-downs and tow straps for complete truck and roadside safety programs.
