Work Boots and Safety Shoes for Construction, Logging & Industrial Work

CSP Forestry stocks professional-grade work boots and safety shoes for workers in logging, construction, forestry, oil and gas, and industrial environments. Our footwear selection includes steel-toe and composite-toe boots meeting ASTM F2413 impact and compression ratings, electrical hazard (EH) rated boots for work near live circuits, logger boots with caulked soles for log scaling and steep terrain, slip-resistant work shoes for wet or oily surfaces, and waterproof boots for wet forestry and field conditions. Brands include Danner, Georgia Boot, Rocky, Wolverine, and others trusted by outdoor professionals.

Proper safety footwear prevents crush injuries, punctures, slips, and electrical contact—the most common foot and ankle injuries on job sites. For chainsaw operators, chainsaw-rated boots with cut-resistant protection are essential—see our dedicated Kevlar chainsaw boots collection. Snake-country workers should consider snake bite protection products as a complement to standard work boots. Complete your foot protection program with gaiters for ankle and lower-leg coverage, and browse our full safety and PPE catalog for additional protective gear.

Work Boot FAQs

What ASTM rating do safety boots need to meet?

ASTM F2413 is the standard for safety footwear in the U.S. It covers impact resistance (I/75 or I/50), compression resistance (C/75 or C/50), metatarsal protection (Mt), electrical hazard rating (EH), and other protective features. Most construction and industrial work requires at minimum ASTM F2413 I/75 C/75 rated boots. Browse our work boots with ASTM ratings listed for every product.

What is the difference between steel-toe and composite-toe boots?

Steel-toe boots have a metal cap and are extremely durable and impact resistant. Composite-toe boots use non-metal materials (fiberglass, carbon fiber, Kevlar) that are lighter, do not conduct heat or cold, and do not trigger metal detectors—making them preferred for electrical work and airport environments. Both meet the same ASTM impact ratings. Browse both types in our boots and shoes collection.

Do I need chainsaw-rated boots for logging work?

Yes. For chainsaw operation, standard work boots do not provide adequate protection against accidental chain contact. Chainsaw-rated boots or Kevlar chainsaw boots feature cut-resistant layers that protect the foot and ankle from saw chain. OSHA and many employer safety programs require chainsaw-rated footwear for employees operating chainsaws.

What work boots are best for wet logging conditions?

Waterproof logger boots with Gore-Tex or full-grain leather uppers are best for wet forestry conditions. Caulked-sole logger boots provide superior grip on wet logs and slippery bark. Look for boots with aggressive lug outsoles for mud and uneven terrain. Browse our work boots and chainsaw boots for waterproof and logger-specific options.
