The Gransfors Hand Hatchet, (aka the Gransfors Kubben) is a new member in Gransfors Bruks line of axes. The Gransfors 413 Hand Hatchet is a small little hatchet for quite heavy work, easily packed in a backpack, a toolbox or carried on the belt. The Gransfors Hand Hatchet can be used as an axe or a knife, for cutting small branches, chopping and splitting sticks for camp fires, artistic wood carving etc.
The Gransfors hand hatchet comes with a grain-leather sheath that protects the sharp edge. The design of the sheath allows you to easily carry the hand hatchet on your belt.

Great hatchet

Really great tool including a well made sheath. Since I use this for finer work and don't slide my hands along the handle as with larger axes I find the texture on the handle to be a benefit.

Great hand hatchet

The hatchet was great. Very well made and sharp! It was everything I expected and would buy another. My only complaint, minor at that, was the handle. Fit was perfect and the shape is very comfortable in multiple positions. The finish, however, was less than what I would expect from an item at this price point. Rough and pitted sections that, while not horrible, we’re also not as comfortable as it could be. I easily sanded them out and re-oiled the handle and it’s perfect now.

Spot on except for one thing

Everything was as I expected, razor sharp great leather and well hung. The only reason it's not five stars, is because the handle was pitted in a few places. Not a huge deal but as a collector and user I was expecting better finish work
