The Council Tool McLeod Rake, Fire Tool is a combination of a rake and a hoe primarily used for clearing brush and other surface debris. The Council McLeod Fire Tool can also be used for digging in the soil to construct fire control lines on wildfires and controlled burns. A high carbon steel blade on the Council McLeod Fire Tool is formed and sharpened, heat treated with a black enamel finish for rust resistance. Produced in accordance with USDA Forest Service Specification 510-353D. The McLeod Rake, Fire Tool is made of tempered 12 gauge steel. The hoe is 10" wide and 4" deep and the rake is 9 3/4" wide with six 3 1/2" long teeth. The McLeod Rake Fire Tool has a 4 foot (48") ash handle.
